About Us

Our Journey with ETS

Our story with electronic timing begins with Ray Knight, whose involvement in ETS dates back to 1997. During a visit to the Reusel pigeon club in the Netherlands with his friend Henk Van Limpt, Ray witnessed the club’s first season using the Tipes system from Diel Electronics. Later, while filming the first Around Antwerp production for The Racing Pigeon, Ray observed the early trials of the Unikon system at the St Job club.

By 2002, Ray began using the Unikon Profi System to train his own birds, and in 2003 he introduced the Bricon system to the UK. His commitment to advancing ETS continued when, in December 2006, he joined Deister UK as Sales Manager for UNIKON—a role intended to last three years but extended to seven due to his success and dedication.

Now, 12 years later, Ray returns in 2025 to lead UNIKON once again, bringing with him decades of experience and a renewed passion for innovation. And there is plenty that is new—many have heard about “the cloud,” but UNIKON is taking timing to the next level with UNIKON.RACE, with more exciting developments to be revealed soon.
